Minot is home to one of the US’ two B-52 bomber bases and keeps watch over 150 Minuteman 3 nuclear missiles.

I am sure at least five of those 150 missiles are kept live and pointed.

You have the right idea bro ,however it works in stages that much I know again I don't work for them so I cant comment in regards to what and where their nukes are tripped and when they do this but I do know that they aren't tripped at any given time as the war heads and the missiles are kept separate.

My original point was that if a country has second-strike capability, it should have a few missiles at ready status. What do you think ??

Yes, agreed however we would never know what is tripped or not usually they are not and only when ready when there is a real danger present.
