As the saying goes, they came to us....we never went to them.
The Americans say that almost all the 9/11 attackers were Saudis yet Trump has just concluded a multi billion dollar arms deal with that country in the same breath he promises to eradicate radical Islam.... either Trump is too clever or the American public are being taken for a ride.
@gambit , your thoughts sir.
The US is an immigrant country. So if anyone has any problem with the US military, maybe they should take it up with the countries whose people came to the US ?

Silly idea, right ?

Al Qaeda is a transnational and multiethnic group. Even so, it needs a base of operations for training, recruitment, and motivation. Afghanistan provided that base. It is not as if we just attacked Afghanistan with only what little information we had back in 2001. No, we were in negotiations with Mullah Omar, and other factions in Afghanistan, for a DECADE to try to come to some kind of settlement regarding Osama bin Laden.

The 9/11 terrorists, are they all that there is/was to Al Qaeda ? No other nationals in Al Qaeda ? No Pakistanis ?

If there are conclusive proofs, not allegations, that the Saudi government was directly involved in Sept 11, 2001, I would have no problems going after Saudi Arabia with full diplomatic and even military might of the US. My government maybe hiding those proofs but that is a different issue, just like your government maybe hiding proofs that your Pakistan was directly involved in Sept 11, 2001.

News circulating in media that Dr shakil Afridi transfered to Punjab and about to send them out to USA through some deal with Americans

Every year a team of senators come to Pakistan and see the progress on war or terror ,report back to senate. Because this report is required for the approval PA monetary and hardware supply. And also different USAID projects in Pakistan.

We can only offer them to visit. To get gayhug from Trump you need to make a business deal of few billion$. Beggars can't be choosers

That's the most emotional hug ever seen.

A visiting United States (US) Congressional delegation led by Senator John McCain was taken on a tour of South Waziristan by Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday.

Is it really true that the US delegate was "all praises" for the Pak Army? If that was the case, why did he told them that the support for Haqqani network isn't acceptable. And that if Pakistan doesn't change on this topic, the US will make changes with respect to Pakistan. That really means sanctions and removing the MNA status.

Please don't get personal, focus on my post's content and respond accordingly. I am just making sure the propaganda article has correction to it. Thanks,

Pakistan deny supporting Haqqani network. But it cannot guarantee some of its members are living in Pakistan along with millions of other afghan refugees. Once Pakistan send back all refugees then it will be difficult for for them to stay as well.

A US delegation led by Senator John McCain visited South Waziristan on Monday and lauded the Pakistan Army’s efforts in dismantling terrorist networks and uplifting socioeconomic conditions there.

“Pak Army’s efforts are a great success story and strong Pak-US partnership is only way to succeed,” the delegation was quoted as saying by military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa also met the delegation and thanked the US for its cooperation.

The visiting delegation was flown over the area to fully view the Pak-Afghan border and have a better understanding of the prevailing security situation.

Because Politicians are Politicians they say one thing here and a different thing there.

Also media is subject to manipulation. E.g if u google Pakistan in America u get people burning stuff and general perception pictures of terrorists etc. If u google Pakistan in Pakistan u get results which totally contradict the previous results.

A visiting United States (US) Congressional delegation led by Senator John McCain was taken on a tour of South Waziristan by Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday.

The five-member delegation, which includes Senators Lindsey Graham, Sheldon Whitehouse, Elizabeth Warren and David Perdue — all members of the influential Armed Services Committee of the US Senate, which has legislative oversight of US military affairs — had also expressed a desire to visit the LoC.

The delegation was scheduled to visit the LoC later in the day, but the trip could not take place due to bad weather, a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

During their visit to South Waziristan, the delegation was briefed on recent measures taken for the improvement of the fencing of the Pak-Afghan border and enhanced surveillance.

The delegation was also briefed on socio-economic development efforts in the Agency, the ISPR stated in a series of tweets.

Speaking at the event, Senator McCain stressed the importance of continued cooperation between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

"We talked about many issues, including the importance of Afghan-Pakistan cooperation and relationship along the border and we are confident that with the right cooperation and the right strategy, we can see success here in this very long struggle," he said.

Senator Graham expressed his satisfaction with the progress against the fight against terrorism. "I cannot stress how impressed I am with what's happened in the last two years. It speaks well of the Pakistani Army and the people in this region," he said.

"There's no turning back now. They have rejected terrorism, and it's up to us to keep working together and make sure that terrorism stays out of this area," he added.

Senator Whitehouse lauded the military's efforts in curbing terrorism, saying: "Never crossed my mind I'd be visiting South Waziristan, let alone a peaceful South Waziristan. So my congratulations to the Pakistani military."

A day earlier, the US senators had met Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and discussed with him important bilateral issues, including terrorism, Pakistan’s relations with India and Afghanistan and regional peace.

The delegation had urged both India and Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir issue through dialogue and asserted that peace in Afghanistan could not be possible without Pakistan’s help.

The relationship between the US and Pakistan has been strained at times, with Washington calling on Islamabad to 'do more' in the fight against terrorism.

However, McCain described US engagement with Pakistan in the region as “important” in his meeting with Foreign Affairs Adviser Sartaj Aziz, according to a foreign ministry statement.

Aziz for his part vowed that Pakistan remained committed to “constructive engagement” with the US in the efforts to create a “stable and prosperous” Afghanistan.

On Sunday, the delegation had also met with Gen Bajwa, who called US cooperation a “key factor” in security.

Wrong you invaded Afghanistan because you wanted and desired war, there was a peaceful diplomatic solution present way before 911 with the Afghan Taliban and you could have gotten OBL without even firing a single bullet but you rebuffed the negotiations with the Taliban delegates that visited Washington instead, you want proof here it is and next time do a little research before you pull out such "facts".

Your post makes no sense. Reality doesn't change whether Google shows you different pictures. Haqqani network support needs to end. I think Mr. Mccain was pretty clear on that. There are no "google pictures" involved with his statement. He went there to warn Pakistan about US's changing foreign policy towards Pakistan.
