Secretary of State Antony Blinken called the U.S.’s dealings with China the defining test of the century. “China is the only country with the economic, diplomatic, military, and technological power to seriously challenge the stable and open international system,” Blinken said in remarks delivered by video from the State Department.

Blinken said the U.S. approach to China will be “competitive when it should be, collaborative when it can be and adversarial when it must be.”

To form that stability " millions of people have to die" in 20th Century and 21st, mostly on the ground that they are a threat. Lies and half lies (I didn't use half truth because the purpose was to lie to start wars), use of international institutions , arms twisting , threats, blackmailing of smaller nation, were all part of " open international system".

Openly hostile international system.

The problem is those threats, blackmailing, arms twisting is not working against China, it would not work. Thus China is a serious threat.
What would happen when Dollar loses its domination!!!

In 1942, the US made a series of movies called "Why We Fight". The US talked about the difference between a free world and a fascist slave world. It was a classic of black-and-white American cinema.

A fascist slave world, they said, was one where people give up their rights and hail a supreme savior who promises them that they would be "made great again" and become masters of all others. This was shown by how Mussolini promised to "restore the glory of Rome" and Hitler was determined to restore the Germanic Reich.
