US saying it will reassess relationship with Pakistan 'surprising': FO

. .
India was not close to the USSR in the late 1970s. Afghanistan was a country in civil war. I do not see the threat.

Pakistani elite always looks for handouts. the only thing that changes is the master - USA, Gulf Arabs and now China
China is not a master, but an ally. There is quite a difference.

You lost dude. Just don't be sour.

. . . .
You sound like an Indian.
You are just crying buckets because the Afghan Taliban won in Afghanistan.

You know what the only thing is permanent interests. there are no permanent friends or permanent enemies

Not correct. USSR and India have had 70+ years relationship. Their relationship started ascending from the 60's. In 1971 they signed the Indo Soviet treaty which gave India the support for intervention (invasion) in East Pakistan. Only during the 90's there were some issues post the dissolution of USSR but those were largely sorted out during and after India PM Narasimha Rao's time.

In 1974 USA and India buried the hatchet over 1971. Carter visited India in 1978 (he did not show up in Pakistan)

Most Pakistanis do not like the current Pakistani relationship with USA. Same with Saudis who I have talked to about their country's relationship with USA.
They want to ditch USA for China, because China is seen as an alternative to USA hegemony.

For an Indian pretending to be an American, you can be America's ally for all we care. :D We know how USA treats its allies :D

Can you not see the bold, didn’t think it was difficult to miss

“India was not close to the USSR in the late 1970s.”

What is your basis for this since you made up the rest sitting on this line.

USA wrote a $2 billion debt waiver in 1974. The pro-Soviet Congress party lost elections in 1977. India bought Jaguar combat aircraft in late 1970s (they did not purchase any Soviet combat aircraft 1972-1981). The Soviets were busy elsewhere in the world - Cambodia, Ethiopia, Angola, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Syria
