The United States has appreciated researchers at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) for their efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary (PDAS) at The Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, Alice Wells, said that researchers in the US and Pakistan are working together to stop the spread of the virus.

‘’We applaud NextStrain, CIDID in the US and NUST in Pakistan for their work using open data sharing to map the virus’’, Alice tweeted.

NUST is one of the leading research institutions in the country. Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhary Fawad Hussain also praised the institute for helping the government fight the pandemic by conducting research and developing the needed technology.

The minister said that COVID-19 testing kits prepared by NUST have been approved by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) and would be now used on a trial basis.

Fawad said that within the next few weeks, around 150,000 testing kits would be manufactured. He also said that The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) had received 48 designs for ventilators, out of which three were approved and sent to DRAP.

Good job NUST. Now only if IK can replace that illiterate and jahil Fawad Hussain with someone who has at least half a brain functioning as a Minister for Science and Technology.
Thank You.

I dont think Fawad is doing a bad job - his only problem is his mouth and doesn't know how to operate it.
