Spokesman of the US White House Jay Carney said that the United States was not planning to impose new economic sanctions on Russia. They would only be imposed for a further violation of Ukraine’s territorial integrity, ITAR-TASS reports.

According to Carney, the US was not recognizing the annexation of Crimea by Russia.

Considering the lifting of sanctions, the official notes that this can be achieved on condition that Russian forces withdraw from the occupied peninsula and Moscow starts a dialogue with the Ukrainian government.

They'll sanction you when Qatar build a gas pipeline to Europe. For now please continue investing in Europe and U.S.A.

Russian investment is shifting to China now. :P

And our pipelines to Russia already make us the biggest customer of Russian oil exports, which will only increase in the future as our development continues.

We are already the largest consumer of energy resources in the world right now, and we are still a developing country. Our energy consumption is set to skyrocket further in the next decade of development.

Hmm... in the stats that I'm looking at China is mostly ranked 3rd, in almost everything. Which is good considering China's population, the most important factor is productivity not consumption, of course they're interrelated but you could be efficient (consume less) and at the same time productive (produce more).

Sorry that was a typo, I meant "energy resources".

We are currently top in terms of energy consumption, and we are still a developing country with low per-capita consumption.

So there is still a huge amount of potential that has not been harnessed.

No doubt this will be of great interest to Russia, who are a major energy exporter.
