how come there r 300 jets in 7th fleet, can US super carriers can carry 300 jets or does it has more than one AC???

I always thought there was only one USS Enterprise in 7th fleet, can anybody shed some light here....

The 300 figure is made up of not just Carrier Air wings (including fighters, transports, AWACS and helos, in all the USN Supercarriers have ~80 a/c of all types embarked at any one time, so ~1/3rd of this 300 figure) but also all the support assets including shore based transports (737s) and all the a/c carried on the numerous LPD/LHD deployed in the fleet. Considering each USN LHD/LPD can carry upto 30 a/c and there are 5-6 LPD/LHD in the fleet its not hard to see where this 300 figure comes from.


Additionally you can never not count fleet reserves of fighters,helos,transports etc.
