Since 1989 in a long standing sustained building program they have delivered an astounding 73 units which is a rate of over 2 per year
11 are being built and 7 are on order and 18 under contract
additionally a life extension program will ensure first units wont retire until they are over 40 years old
the Arleigh Burke final tally will almost certainly reach over 100 warships
