An Islamic Republic of Iran Navy reconnaissance aircraft approaches a US Navy aircraft carrier and is escorted by US fighter jets over the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman. Pictures are all taken by Iranian crew.

Suicide has different ways it,s not necessary to die a F18 HORNET DEATH :P

Interesting thing to note is the Loadout..
The F-18 is carrying a TGP on its wing station.. although generally the ATFLIR is carried on the recessed station in the superhornet. I wonder what prompted that configuration.

Nice pics! My heart just about always skips a beat when I see a beautiful ship like that. Would love to be able to spend some time on one someday. :man_in_love:

A floating on water with a fully-equipped air base with a hyper offensive, defensive capabilities.

Wait until the whole delivery of the P-8s is complete as well. This will enhance the US naval air arm.

Most importantly, it has its own zip code :p: Those P-8s are and will definitely future enhance an already super formidable power projection.

If this power wouldn't be enhanced every now and then. The US Navy might face some challenges in future. But the Pentagon will never allow such thing.

They're selling 12 a less advanced version to the Indians, the Saudis are too interested in 6 P8s.
