In all seriousness, why does USA, which many claim to have the worlds best health (not affordable), have the highest deaths & cases. The USA spends over $3.6 trillion annual on healthcare, so they should have a better control over this virus. But it seems they don't.

Because...

1) They don't have the best healthcare system. Perhaps the US have some of the best doctors/hospitals and most advanced medical equipment, but they are not accessible to the vast majority of the population. Hundreds of thousands of Americans are getting infected everyday.

2) This pandemic has more to do with people cooperating and taking precautionary steps to protect themselves than to do with the country's healthcare system. The US have a significant bunch of people who are anti-science, anti-intellectual, conspiracists, and have a deep distrust of authorities.
