You don't need a bunch CIA trained teachers to brainwash the kids, but a teacher organization and councillor to control the educational sector. The educational department has no authority to control what information the teacher can teach, after these years the brainwashed student turn into a teacher, and keep spreading one sided information to next generation. They have started doing it since the handover. The thing is they only need to feed the bad news about China to the students when they are still young. HK people complained many things about China, but some of them are prejudice and misinformation, with the help of biased Media. Recent example, the Media cut out the violence part of riot, and forcus on the police violence.
That would be up to mainland China government to stop the plan but they could not. I do not blame the US. I would do the same thing in their shoes.
I blame our gov't and HK people honestly, why didn't we found out that earlier and why would we accept what they present to us without thinking. I only made comments to those foreign members, when they tried to claim their countries are innocent. Come one, let's be a man, accept what your gov't is capable (actually they are quite good.) Back then in 2014, we had a list of US funded politicians and parties of HK, fews high profiled members of the teacher organization and their political party were inside the list.
It is absurd that no one went to jail or release from their job. In my country you will be fired from the job and heavily investigated by the police. ICAC is quite useless .
Fews councillors got the trial but the charges was dropped later due to HK have no political party law. The religious leaders, teachers and scholars went free since they were not in public offices (we have no national security law). HK have soical problems, like high housing price, but we are still better than many countries. We have clean food and water, no power shortage, low unemployment rate, one of the best healthcare and wellfare system. I hope the youngers can stop a monment to reconsider is it worth to destory our place with violence. The housing problem could be solved if they can be patience to listen what the HK gov't is actually doing, instead of against everytime the gov't propose a future housing plan.
