US announces support for COVID19 vaccine patent waiver

What's the meaning of this gesture? India is making AstraZeneca anyway.

And, btw, Pfizer doesn't hold any vaccine, Pfizer is like India Serum Institute, Pfizer just make Germany BioNTech vaccine.

US gesture is meaningless at this moment, because
  1. Pfizer disagree
  2. It's the Germany BioNTech has the vaccine. And Moderna is Germany vaccine as well.

Let's assume, others can make BioNTech vaccine, where is the equipment, how much can be made daily?

This is just fool's game.

China support this proposal long ago.

It basically means that the vaccine in the United States is not effective against the mutant virus. The hundreds of millions of vaccines that the United States had stockpiled to make a fortune turned into waste, and they desperately needed to get rid of it.

Not good news.
