I think even F-22 would have this sensor and most 4th gen aircraft would also, if that sensor is IRST/FLIR or an upgrade or a modification. This seems just another article to justify F-35, its cost and more cost spent on its upgrades.

Past glory. F-35 was designed in the early 2000s. There's nothing special about F-35 anymore. Germany won't buy it. France won't buy it. Russia won't buy it. China won't buy it. Hell, even Sweden won't buy it. Only some small countries that can't make planes buy F-35.

Sweden has their own industry so it doesn't buy US fighters (like the F-16) so not buying the F-35 isn't anything new.
