- Fiction Story for the Movie

8-Pass Charlie Brothers was the codename of Pakistan Air Force F-16’s Ace who crossed The L.O.C
after Indian army violates ceasefire agreement and advance their forces on the eastern border.
the charlie brothers target the airbase of the Indian Air Force number of times.

- True Story of 8-Pass Charlie

8-Pass Charlie was the codename of an unknown Pakistan Air Force B-57 bomber ace who raided the Adampur airbase of the Indian Air Force in Indian Punjab a number of times during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 notably starting the series of raids on the base by a solo raid.

He was named "8-Pass Charlie" by his impressed Indian adversaries at the Adampur base as he used to make eight passes, one for each bomb, on selected targets with improving efficiency instead of safely dropping all his bomb load and exiting. He is also known to have expertise in disguising his attack run by confusing anti-aircraft gunners by cutting throttles before entering a dive.
During the war, the bomber wing of the PAF was attacking the concentration of airfields in north India. In order to avoid enemy fighter-bombers, the B-57s operated from several different airbases, taking off and returning to different bases to hop and avoid being attacked. The B-57 bombers would arrive over their targets in a stream at intervals of about 15 minutes, which led to achieving a major disruption of the overall IAF effort.

. . . . . .
PAF should learn from previous experience attack is best form of defence current mindset of PAF says we defend IAF inside Pakistan airspace which is dangerous strategy we are sitting ducks with in numbers and quality of IAF getting in years

PAF must have dedicated bomber squad which can drop Heavy drops on IAF based kill IAF birds before they even fuel them.

With that SU 35 Air superiority jet in PAF changes air power again in PAF favour

Multiple fighters have big weakness they have limited fuel limited payload and range

8-Pass Charlie

When night fell, Adampur faced its worst air raid of the war. B-57 bombers flew three raids. The first raid was at 2200 hours, by a lone B-57. Adampur's pilots had admiringly reffered to a very effective B-57 pilot, executor of the first raid on 6 September, which destroyed one of the MiGs on the ORP, as '8-Pass Charlie'. On this night '8-Pass Charlie' is believed to have showed up again.

The name '8-Pass Charlie' was derived from the number of passes the B-57 would make in each raid. Normally it would come over the target and dump its load of 8 bombs at one go, without giving time for the defenses to react. The typical load that was carried was about 4,000 lbs, 8 bombs of 500 lbs each. But '8-Pass Charlie' would make eight different runs and drop just one bomb each on selected targets. The pilot would try to pick out individual targets on the ground in the moon-light, and try to carry out an effective attack each time.

Paddy Earle (an Indian Air Force fighter pilot during 1965 war) paid tribute to the unknown Pakistani pilot:

"I have the utmost respect for the Pakistani Canberra bloke who loved to ruin the equanimity of our dreary lives! 8-Pass Charlie was an ace, but he had this nasty habit of turning up about 30 min. after moonrise, just as we were downing our first drink! Seriously, he was a cool dude and a professional of the highest order. To disguise the direction of his run, he used to cut throttles before entering a dive and by the time the ack-ack opened up he was beneath the umbrella of fire. After dropping his load he'd apply full throttle and climb out above the umbrella."

Excerpt taken from chapter 'The Second Week of the Air War' in book titled 'The India-Pakistan Air War of 1965' authored by P.V.S. Jagan Mohan and Samir Chopra.

How about a 3D poster of Canberras with some actual Canberra pilots?

I don't know why our military and movie industry doesn't cash in on PAF's glorious legacy. From 8 pass Charlies, MM Aalam, First ever AA missile kill by a mach 2 fighter in actual combat, To Repeatedly kicking Israeli arse (no offence intended), Humiliating Soviet Air force and what not. They've done it all.

such kind of films need huge investment. I think PAK Film Industry is not mature enough to make such kind of films.
