UK-Based Agency Ranks Pakistan’s NUST At 400th Spot In 2020 Ranking
The university stood at the 417th number last year.

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a UK-based ranking agency, has named NUST (National University of Sciences and Technology) 400th in the world in its 2020 ranking. In the previous year, the university stood at the 417th number.

QS ranks universities at a regional and global level, besides other ranking categories, like young universities rankings and subject rankings.

As per a statement, NUST has improved its score in academic reputation, faculty/student ratio, international students and citations per faculty. All these have played a part in helping NUST further consolidate its position this year.

These ratings are politically motivated and created to help bring $$$ to certain Universities

However I think for Pakistan we should take page from Iran and invest more in University and R&D activities and bigger grants for Local Universities
