not totallytotally contrary to islam
yea except you seem to equate women equality to taking off clothesI don't ask for much!
I have no "issues" in understanding what I post....issue in understanding what you posted to me
Among a million and 1 examples that is the only thing that struck you shows your mindset! What do they have to do to be number 1? Take off their clothes!
was written in OP!issue in understanding what
IDIOT!The underlined section makes no sense whatsoever. From who's pov were the rankings deduced.... what scientific method was used, population distribution, yardstick used, methodology? Have to give it to you..... anything with the word woman and you jump on the bandwagon......... such articles are a good read, indeed, however, mostly in chit chat section!
yea except you seem to equate women equality to taking off clothes
IDIOT!
Read OP! THEN POST 4!
You seriously are a troll!
It isnt my fault you cant read that a Prof form Harvard who isnt a female did a research with a methodology described in OP!
@WebMaster @Horus @Manticore @Jungibaaz @Jango @Icarus @Slav Defence
I understand there are morons on the forum but please tame your title holders and make sure they KNOW HOW to read!
am I? Or you?YOU'RE using non-Muslims as a yardstick to make MUSLIM sisters feel relevant. WHO are they to tell us what is respect!
Allah also talks about gaining knowledge! Kindly do get educated! So, I don't need someones ''STUDY'' to tell me!
Practice what you preach! Tell me WHERE in the article did it tell you what your dirty mind thinks of?Next time with utmost respect read carefully and then comment! This is getting rather tiresome!
ADVISORY BOARDwithout mention of one journal / paper and yardsticks used -- as you are a supposed 'scientist', I'd highly recommend you do the same.
Unlike you I dont read WIKIPEDIA for EVERYTHING!Here, 'social progress index 2015', kindly go through it and then try to locate me an article with the honorable professors name explicitly attached to it.

Go read Delloite's report as well.
Now a simple rule.... in the absence of multiple similar reports from reliable scientific sources, try avoid getting totally invested in the affair.
Now on topic: Be very careful next time quoting me with any title that reeks of disrespect, as you will be answered in the same coin, and then some. PhD doesn't teach people manners and how to live life, it just teaches a scientific methodology.
@WebMaster @Horus @Oscar @Irfan Baloch: Keep her off my back, in my culture we don't take such things so lightly.
Now tell your title holder to learn to read before going mental about a nation he despises and cant be neutral about!
am I? Or you?
Did you read the article?
Did you understand?
Yes? No? Then stop BS! Which part says what you imply?
Allah also talks about gaining knowledge! Kindly do get educated!
Practice what you preach! Tell me WHERE in the article did it tell you what your dirty mind thinks of?
Dear God your hatred for the Middle east has reached a new level! So much so an article slices your heart like anything!

HAVE A NICE DAY!!!!
Unlike you I dont read WIKIPEDIA for EVERYTHING!
You need more than manners to barge into a thread not knowing A from Z and calling me out for something YOU didnt even bother looking coz WIKIPEDIA told you so?
How about doing a little bit of research instead of being jealous of the middle east! Sure they have alot of shit going on....BUT if there is a study and the methodology are sound with "reliable sources" I am not going to go amok and call it a false just coz it didnt favour your fav nations!
DID YOU EVEN BOTHER reading this wiki that you suggested to me?List of countries by Social Progress Index - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (2015 - Read UAE's spot @ 39)
At least read what you cough up! You coughed wiki...NOW READ IT!one and half year ago
List of countries by Social Progress Index - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaFunded by private foundations and under the technical guidance of Professors Michael Porter from Harvard Business School and Scott Stern from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the group formed the Social Progress Imperative and launched a beta version of the Social Progress Index for 50 countries in 2013 to measure a comprehensive array of components of social and environmental performance and aggregate them into an overall framework.
I aint interested ....You gave me a wiki which backs what I wrote...But you are still in denial then ONLY GOD CAN HELP YOU!Lady, I literally live on the bleeding edge of technology....... I actually write the protocols that will run the future of the web, i.e. http2..... you don't even want to know the lengths and breadths of my knowledge.
I didnt YOU burst into my thread and went amok coz you thought UAE came to the top of the world....@Akheilos, kindly put me on your ignore list and never try to engage me. I have a certain threshold above which I chose my acquaintances.... not one of those people who let others chose them.
Have a good day lady.
Tell me WHERE in the article did it tell you what your dirty mind thinks of?
not totally
I will have to disagree with u sister. Its totally based on western ideology of individualism and liberalism.
Most of these social index parameters r based on western socio-cultural paradigms. The whole UN declaration of human rights is based on western values and is totally contrary to islam. While UAE did well on certain fronts it can never ever top the overall ranking unless it totally embraces western socio-cultural values that is based on liberalism and secularism. The parameters r either based on western standards or unique to western socio-cultural norms. Lets look at some of the parameters : Freedom of speech , freedom of movement, freedom over life choices, political rights , satisfied demand for contraception , tolerance for homosexuality , early marriage, religious tolerance, private property rights . Whose version of freedom of speech , and property rights r they talking abt? Who will decide what's early marriage ........is it 18 , 20, 25 or now as common in the west 30 + ? Should mocking of Islam be allowed under the guise of religious tolerance? would freedom over life choices entail acceptance of adultery, fornication , abortions etc? What has abominations like homosexuality got to do with social progress? They r trying to impose their values on the muslim world under the guise of human rights and social development.

SO my point is muslims should not feel too overjoyed on this kind of findings. Yes UAE did well on certain fronts but at the same time , muslims should not want UAE or any other muslim country to do too well in such indexes. Muslims should see through the fallacious western narrative and start viewing the world from an islamic perspective. We should formulate our own indexes based on islamic standards.
@Akheilos @Tipu7
AWWWWW..................The evil west at it again. Always tying to oppress/subdue holy Muslim/Middle Eastern countries.
