U.S. flies B-52 over South Korea after North's nuclear test

But their is a problem, south itself is asking the US to do what is the US is doing. It is inviting the US to show off it's military muscle in the Korean peninsula. It cannot be that a N bomb meant for US troops will not harm the Korean civies.
N Korean dictatorship is brutal and over the board... peace.
That is why it is stuck. What NK is doing isn't helping anything, other than venting its own frustration.

And THAT has consequences Sir... the biggest of them all that you can't blame the US for being the bad guy here. For all intents and purposes they're really trying to help keep safe a forward looking country who actually cares for it's citizens.

I don't think I am blaming US as a bad guy. However US can help by boosting SK defence and then leaving the defence work to them. Maybe China and Russia can pitch in to promise SK that if NK attacks unprovoked or continues the nuke programme, both countries cut off all supply to NK. With big guys being outside of that peninsula, it leaves Korean themselves to solve their problem peacefully.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. House of Representatives isn’t waiting for confirmation of North Korea’s hydrogen-bomb test claim before voting on legislation that expands sanctions on Pyongyang and specifically seeks to deny the hard currency lawmakers say it needs for its weapons programs. The legislation, which has broad bipartisan support and could be on the House floor as early as Tuesday, languished for nearly a year until North Korea announced two days ago that it had conducted a fourth nuclear test — this one detonating a thermonuclear device with huge destructive power. The announcement was greeted with doubt that North Korea had set off a hydrogen bomb, which would represent a significant and unexpected advance for the reclusive country’s limited nuclear arsenal.

Actually nothing will happen. The Yankees know well that DPRK has the ability and will to fire nukes to land on US soil. The Americans are too scared of such eventuality.

hmm your professional tag is means for nothing actually.

Everybody know, North Korea doesn't have the ability to maintain their existing Ballistic missile arsenal at combat readiness level let alone to built such complicated intercontinental ballistic missile with sufficient payload and range to bring nuclear.warhead into US soil.

fter the North's last test, in 2013, the United States sent a pair of nuclear-capable B-2 stealth bombers over South Korea. At the time, the N
Last time this deployment failed to stop north Korean to again test H bomb then what the benifit showing solidarity with friend if you cannot solve the problem.

You mean like Russia made promises to Ukraine???

If North Korea promises to not invade South Korea again as well as get rid of its nukes, then maybe we will talk.

U think North Koreans are interested in invading South Korea, are you for real? They are planing to invade US my friend, and whatever they have in terms of weaponry, whether it is their nukes or the H-bomb they have recently claimed that they have tested, or some advance star movies shit, but they are onto something. I think US should show some maturity in here, North Korea isn't Afghanistan or Iraq or Syria or any other gulf Country that will fight for their sovereignty for decades. They know that if US ever tried to wage a war against them they have only one chance and to avail that chance they must have to Nuke as many US cities as they can. How they gonna do it? I am not an expert in Nuclear technology neither I have a phd degree in ICBM technology. But what they have claimed so far, I believe them. One thing is for sure, they ain't speak shit like Americans do.

.
Nah, North Korea can dismantle its nuke program, reform its vicious little dictatorship, negotiate with both the US AND South Korea, and can agree to mutual drawdowns on the DMZ. Otherwise they can go suck lemons.
dismantle nuke program so you guys can go and bomb the sit out of that country as you did to Iraq??

Nah, North Korea has no oil so thats why North Korea hasn't been bombed since the truce more than 60 years ago. We just afraid North Korea would deter the U.S. from helping South Korea like last time. Thats why North Korea failed.

During the Korean War, North Korea was invading South Korea and that was their only objective.

Last time this deployment failed to stop north Korean to again test H bomb then what the benifit showing solidarity with friend if you cannot solve the problem.

The U.S. responded when North Korea threaten go to to war with South Korea over propaganda broadcasts.

That B-52 flyover stopped that new war from happening just right there.

North Korea threatens war as South blasts anti-Pyongyang propaganda
Pyongyang says South Korea's broadcasts are tantamount to an act of war.

SEOUL, KOREA, REPUBLIC OF—North Korea warned of war as South Korea on Saturday continued blasting anti-Pyongyang propaganda across the rivals’ tense border in retaliation for the North’s purported fourth nuclear test.

North Korean propaganda is filled with warnings of war, but the country is also extremely sensitive to criticism of its authoritarian leadership, which Seoul resumed in its cross-border broadcasts on Friday for the first time in nearly five months. Pyongyang says the broadcasts are tantamount to an act of war. When South Korea briefly resumed propaganda broadcasts in August after an 11-year break, Seoul says the two Koreas exchanged artillery fire.

Speaking to a massive crowd at Pyongyang’s Kim Il Sung Square, a top ruling party official said the broadcasts, along with talks between Washington and Seoul on the possibility of deploying in the South advanced warplanes capable of delivering nuclear bombs, have pushed the Korean Peninsula “toward the brink of war.”

Pyongyang’s rivals are “jealous” of the North’s successful hydrogen bomb test, Workers’ Party Secretary Kim Ki Nam said in comments broadcast on state TV late Friday.

South Korea’s Yonhap news agency reported that front line South Korean troops, near 11 sites where loudspeakers started blaring propaganda Friday, were on highest alert. Yonhap said Seoul had deployed missiles, artillery and other weapons systems near the border to swiftly deal with any possible North Korean provocation. South Korea’s Defence Ministry did not confirm the reports.

While the South’s broadcasts also include news and pop music, much of the programming challenges North Korea’s government more directly.

“We hope that our fellow Koreans in the North will be able to live in (a) society that doesn’t invade individual lives as soon as possible,” a female presenter said in parts of the broadcast that officials revealed to South Korean media. “Countries run by dictatorships even try to control human instincts.”

The broadcasts came as world powers sought to find other ways to punish the North for conducting what it said was its first hydrogen bomb test Wednesday.

North Korea's nuke is made for US troops in South Korea. It is not made for South Korean. It chooses nuke because it has nothing else to deter US troops. US should withdraw from South Korea as the latter is well capable of defending itself from North Korea.

The U.S. troops are in South Korea. So in reality keeping American troops in South Korea prevents North Korea from nuking American troops.

*shrug* you mean like we've done to North Korea in the past 25 years? Nork's can keep their weak nukes, it only strengthens our position, puts pressure on China for supporting North Korea, strains Chinese and South Korean relations and surely gives Chinese planners sleepless nights thinking that Nork nukes can just as easily be pointed at Beijing. Frankly China can't just topple North Korea if Kim becomes too much of a thorn anymore.

Of course this is assuming they have a delivery platform for this weak nuke.

That's exactly what the those who reign over N America like the gullible and foolish Americans to believe.
