U.S. F-22 stealth fighter pilot taunted Iranian F-4 Phantom combat planes

Technically very possible. No fighter have active aft radars and certainly not the old F-4, unless we are talking about 'Iranian physics' here.

Do not confuse the passive radar WARNING receiver set with active radar transmission. RWR is passive, meaning its antenna merely 'listens' for any transmission, and if it is not sophisticated enough to discern LPI-ed transmission, which is most likely what happened, the Iranian pilot was lucky we are not at war. He would have been dead without knowing his attacker.

Ok i can Understand but the Iranian Fighter Pilots must have also got these state of the art vision system

Either this is Fanboy BS or The Iranian Air force must upgrade their jets

SO f-22 fights a plane that was retired like more than 40 years ago and everybody is going crazy ? Tune in next time f-22 goes into a dogfight with a b-17 flying fortress. The suspense is killing us all.
B-17 is one hellava mean machine it just might JUST MIGHT shoot down the f22 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!! American tax payer money going down the drain !!!!!!!!

You said it Echo the hint is there in the post.

Yet Iran is miraculously the only country that has managed to capture two US drones. And one of the drones is even one of the most sophisticated drones the US has in its drone fleet. Nobody was talking about being scared of the Iranian Air Force. We were talking about cyber warfare, a part of warfare in which Iran has made great steps. If even the CEO of Google states that he wouldn't be surprised if the Iranians managed to capture that drone, I don't really think that a bunch of laughing soldiers in your army are worth mentioning.
You got that right...miraculously......Because those who have the technical know-how will consider it a miracle that Iran have the ability to break into a real time two-way encrypted satellite link.

The word 'capture' does not mean much in this regard. If I lose something and you found it, certainly you 'capture' it, but that is not the same thing as you wrestled it out of my control. Did Google's CEO explained how? Of course not. Why not? So you genuinely believe that all this time, the US committed only a few incursions into Iranian airspace and we have done nothing since we lost one? And please, it is not the 'most sophisticated'. Do you know who the US called to help in creating that satellite linking capability? The cable TV industry...!!! You read that correctly.

The most your Iranian military have done is altered the F-5, mocked up a weird contraption and presented as a 'stealth' fighter, and employed a brigade of Photochop experts to create a new weapon system every other month with nary any real evidence to back them up. Your own soldiers are the ones laughing at the buffoonery your generals displayed to the world.

My friends here in LV (Nellis) laughed too. And they laughed hard. The USAF does not care. Those in the know, the technical people and the budget masters, do not care as well. No matter what the Iranians may say to make themselves feel better have no effects on how much money is allocated for the program and how to progress the machines. In the end, the US wins.

world also laugh when you peoples say... "we are winning in afghanistan and our economy is going better"

Kudos to the Iranain Pilots who engaged the f22s. It takes guts to fight an enemy that is more powerful.

What do you mean by wining?? I think US was never there in Afghanistan to win any land mass. They achieved its main objective and leaving behind an Afghan army that is enough for terrorist. About US economy, its on revival path. US is still the global money machine. Overtaking US economy is just a day dream, a hoax created by media and not possible in near future for ANY COUNTRY till dollar is a global currency.

meh .... if i was the F-22 pilot i would had said "aaaaiiiiii taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!"

Uh they didn't know the F22 was there. They were going after the uav.

Like you said, it takes guts to engaged something they couldn't see. Go and figure.

Never said anything about not seeing Now go and figure instead of acting like a little fool. Gawd you live in America and you still can't master English properly.

Please, the F-22 pilot intended to go in WVR. He could of shot him miles away in BVR, but this is peacetime.

Aahh...No...YOU go home and figure it out.

In air combat, to 'engage' someone is to actively knowing he is there, whether he is in your sight or not, and contest his positions.

If this story is true, what are the odds of the Iranian pilots knowing the Raptors were in the area? About as much as winning the Powerball lottery in the US, or you scoring a date with Kate Upton. Must have been unnerving for the Iranians. One moment thinking you are masters of the sky, the next moment seeing a couple of jets your country will never be able to produce and hearing their pilots telling you to phvck off. The Iranian pilots probably shat in their flight suits from fright.

1. What is the advantage of a drone, if it is supposed to be escorted by F22?
2. How can a ground radar station systems detect a drone but miss F22? I assume most drones are more stealthy compared to F22.

technically not possible..looks like a fanboy stuff..even Stealthy fighters like F-22 can be detected from 30 km back by most of the radars..how come they went under the wing of the iranian aircrafts without knowing??no without disabling their radar(as well as their eyes) completely..

Aircraft have a detection blind spot at their 6. That 30 km detection range is for head on approach, and for modern pulse Doppler radars. Not to mention those F-4s are still equipped with the radars from the 70s, or slightly upgraded maybe.
