Two Taliban militants arrested in Karachi operation: CID

KARACHI: In an ongoing operation in Karachi, two more suspected militants were arrested in Shah Latif Town on Wednesday.
A Crime Investigation Department (CID) team led by top cop SSP Chaudhry Aslam Khan nabbed Ajmal and Muhammed Noman from Shah Latif Town.
According to Khan, both militants belong to the banned outfit, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and were experts in preparing suicide bombers. They used to send children to Waziristan for training.
A large cache of weapons, suicide jackets and explosives were also recovered from them.
Earlier SSP Khan’s house was attacked in DHA by TTP, where in several people including officers in Khan’s security protocol.
He had vowed to continue his ‘jihad’ against these militants and that he would not be waivered from his mission.
CID has met with success in recent times, arresting several target killers in the city.
