it infact indicate that govt is more intersted in gas than oil

It is not the case. They are after the LNG since many years. You will see in the coming years after its implementation. We have more gas and oil reserves but since past two years no exploratory work has been done in order to increase the output. If they were so interested then previous 5 years they would not been sitting and just watching all the things. Politics is always a pre planned game. 5 years turn by turn will be over again and we will see some other. At the end only nation will suffer.

Any how a much better and safer approach, than pipe line.

Pipeline talks and project was initiated by P.Musharraf, but Indians trolled the talks.
Zardari did nothing but he trolled Sharif.
Anyhow, Pipeline contracts are made with stable states, where contract is for longer term and quite comprehensive.
Please, review pipeline projects in the world. I bet no one can tell us what was the price of gas negotiated with Iran.
