Two killed in Quetta ‘target killing’
PAKISTAN - 16 JANUARY 2010

QUETTA: Two persons were killed in a firing incident in Quetta on Saturday. The incident is reported to be a target killing.

According to police, the incident took place in the Ghausabad area of Satellite Town when unknown gunmen opened fire on a man identified as Malik Iftikhar outside his residence. The firing also caused fatal injuries to a bystander.

Police rushed to the site and were shifting both Malik Iftikhar and the wounded bystander to the Civil Hospital. However, the two succumbed to their injuries on way to the hospital.

Police have started an investigation into the incident.

2 more killed in Quetta target killings

QUETTA: Unidentified persons have killed at least two persons in Quetta firing, said police.

Police sources said that in Kaichi Baig area of Quetta that unknown persons opened firing on Sunday morning and killed Muhammad Arif and fled away from the crime scene. The deceased belonged to Toba Tek Singh, Punjab.

Meanwhile, in an other incident unknown armed men killed Haji Wali Muhammad in an area of Kali Sheikh Khan.

Police handed over the dead bodies to their relatives and started further investigation while police has filed separately cases against the criminals. Whereas, police pronounced both the incidents as target killings.
