Tweeter cracks joke about Kapil Sibal, gets account suspended
1. It all started with an innocuous joke made twice by the Twitter account (@utkarsha01) – first on Nov 28 and second on Nov 29. As you can see, a lot of people retweeted:
2. This author got to know about this account being suspended from another active Twitter user (@albatrossinfo)

3. The author checked it and found that to be the case. See the last tweet in the screenshot. The author clicked on @utkarsha01 a few times to find that the user was suspended as the message says.

4. Confirmation by many prominent Twitter users, particularly @fakingnews
5. Within few minutes, the account was reinstated as @thetanmay says. Strangely, however, the number of people she follows and is followed by were markedly different from the numbers on her front page. I have been told by people familiar with how Twitter works that a reinstated account takes a few hours to restore to how it was before suspension.

6. The person tweeting from the account also wonders why and how it happened. We too ponder.
