Turkish Personal Data Protection Board launched an investigation on TikTok

The Personal Datas Protection Board has launched an ex officio investigation to the social media application TikTok because of allegations of data security vulnerabilities. It is expecting that Tik-tok application and web server access will be completely prohibited from Turkish internet providers.

The board previously were decided to impose an administrative fine to Facebook for personal data breaches. However, Tik-Tok data security vulnerabilities are in incomparable level.
