PESHAWAR: Turkey’s welfare organisation Yardimeli would slaughter 200 animals in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and distribute the meat among internally displaced people and flood affectees.
The organisation would also build 51 more houses for flood affectees at the model village for flood victims in Charsadda district that was established with the support of Al-Khidmat Foundation, said Ilyas Kaymaz of Yardimeli, while addressing a news conference here on Friday.
Flanked by provincial president of Al-Khidmat Foundation Noorul Haq and district Charsadda head Mohammad Riaz Khan, Ilyas said they started relief activities in Pakistan seven years ago. He said they were also working in the education sector and have set up two colleges in Kashmir. Similarly a model village – Abu Ayub Ansari (RA) village - for flood affected people has been established in Charsadda on 40 acres of land where 40 families have been accommodated, he added. Those families are also provided a Rs5,000 a month. He said the organisation was working in Charsadda, Nowshera, Dir, Malakand, AJK, Muzaffar Garh, Rahimyar Khan, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Sindh and Balochistan.
