Are there any news about the Leopard2A4 modernization?

Turkish M-60s are starting to look like the T-90s of Russia. I'm just wondering what they will do with the rest of those tanks that aren't upgraded. Will they be replaced by the Altay, or will Turkey keep developing them to the point where it is pretty much an indigenous tank that no longer has a link to the M-60?

Upgraded M60A3 with 105mm gun, Akkor Pulat Hard-kill system and laser warning receiver sensors is a deadly solution against asymmetric threats in Syria and Iraq. Altay is a beast which is going to be used mainly to counter more modern threats such as Greek Leopard2A6. Currently, 40 M-60A3 is under modernization and Rest will follow when It is near compilation.

Frontal arc upgrades on both turret & chassis side seems to be based on the layered armour which better in kinetic energy protection compared to the side’s ERAs
In between, a very good logic of design which is only needs more work on corners and joints.

Yes, it’s true. But, it had to be present as a fail-safe solution for active defences.
