Turkey's feared ANKA strike drones

Operational history
The Anka performed its first mission flight on 5 February 2016 in Turkey's eastern province of Elazig performing a four-hour exploration and observation flight.[35]

In the course of Turkey′s Operation Olive Branch in 2018, the UAV for the first time used the Smart Micro Munition, MAM-L.[36]

Multiple Anka-S drones along with the advanced Bayraktar TB2 drones were deployed and extensively used during the Operation Spring Shield launched by Turkey following the heavy losses the Turkish forces incurred at the hands of the Russian-backed Syrian government in northwestern Syria at the end February 2020.[36] The deployment was assessed by experts to be a tactical game-changer.[36][37][38]

On 25 February Syrian Air defenses shot down an Anka-S.[39][40]

On 1 March 2020, an Anka-S was shot down while operating in the Syrian province of Idlib by an air defence system, near the town of Saraqib.[41][42]

From wikiPedia, Looks like the drone is completely operational mostly within Syrian territory. But not a good experience btw, Syrian air defence forces have countered it well.

Let that sink in.....

Turkish Bayraktar TB-2 and ANKA-S UCAVs changed the game in Syria and Libya

just Bayraktar TB-2 and ANKA-S UCAVs with 8km MAM-L laser guided ammunition killed 3.322 Assad Regime militia including 6 generals and Iran backed terrorists and destroyed
8 Air Defense Systems
155 Tanks
51 Howitzers
52 MLRS
29 AFVs
68 Military Vehicles
15 Anti Tank Weapons
36 Pick-up mounted anti aircraft guns
49 Ammunition Trucks
10 Ammunition Storage
2 Missile Systems

and soon Turkish AKSUNGUR and AKINCI UCAVs armed with 8km MIZRAK anti Tank missiles , 100km KGK guided Bombs , 280km SOM Cruise Missile .. even 65km GOKDOGAN air to air missiles to destroy Tanks,Howitzers,MLRS,Air Defense Systems,Helicopters, UCAVs, etc

A drone is never supposed to beat air defence systems unless designed (stealth etc) for this specific task. Its survivability against a competent air defence or an air force is almost negligible. Still, the way Turkey decimated Syria armour and equipment, including ground air defences, through precision strikes and comparatively negligible losses, their drones have gone beyond what anyone thought possible.

Yeah that was impressive but not that the drone discovered those air defense systems. Their location was exposed by other means as i read in an other source.

That's impressive, I think Pakistan should get hold of these drones and use them extensively along the borders with Afghanistan and Iran who are bent on causing trouble by sending in terrorists from across their borders.

Include the fact that Baykar Makina is producing TB2 drones one a week, they are very much expendable.

No it was done by Santa Claus he dropped the bombs from his sledge.
Or maybe Santa confirmed that ANKA did them all? Man try to make sense, i expect better from you

Exactly the source said it was done by Bayraktar drone. I have no idea how @CAN_TR came to this conclusion that it was all done by ANKA.

Drones never find "stuff" on their own. It's not fitted with missiles, told to go kill the first target it finds. There is an entire intelligence ecosystem involved, from human intelligence to signal intelligence, in which targets are identified, then prioritized, flight paths established, then taken out. And btw, this is the simplistic version. Credit where credit is due.

That's right. Well said.

My knowledge says that TB-2's had a better performance compared to ANKA. There are sources that are suggesting Turkey used TB-2s in Libya to bomb Pantsir ADs also. Maybe due to its low RCS, it could easily approach the radar from an angle that the radar failed to detect it. As we know already radars do have blind angles and they fail to detect approaching threat from that specific angle especially if the attacker had low RCS. Its very important to me to know that how the drone managed to evade the radar of Pantsir. The ground reality says that low RCS drones are much better. Unless a detector was installed on ANKA to detect radar waves and then attack the source of those scattered waves which is a bit illogical since there is no such operational drones so far.
