Turkey’s constitutional changes? They're a threat to our democracy

I am not in a position to judge the state of Turkey's personal liberties but whatever they are, would my assumption be correct that they leave Kuwait and the Greater Middle East in the shade?
Of course. I'd even say most of Europe too, especially Eastern/Balkan parts.

I see it doesnt interest you when i looked at your contents about Turkey.....
Did i mention anything about israel?
Just one thing bush, Clinton and Obama made big mistakes and millions of people died and dies today. Why dont we say dictators to them. They didnt listen what others cares and did what they want Even they didnt listen good Americans warnings about their policies but they are the leaders which democratic countries have choosed so how they can be a dictator.Understand?
if you want to kill kurds we dont care do what you want in your country and we will do what we want

A lot of Israelis do care what we do in our country, as do many Jews around the world for some reason.
You only have to Google to see for yourself.

There is a simple solution to this buddy. Ignore button, it truly works wonders

What in the world?! Why should I ignore you? I supported many policies of AK party since they came to power 2002 because I'm not an insincere, hateful, dogmatic, authoritarian and blind ideologist like 95% of all Kemalists I've ever met in my life time. I don't deny or doubt our historical, traditional and religious heritage. In fact, I'm proud of it and I cannot dispute my socially conservative values but at the same time I am a secular liberal and, of course, I prefer a free market based economy over a semi-free Kemalistic economy policy à la CHP (because I'm not an idiot).

Secularism (Kemalism) ≠ Liberalism and Liberalism ≠ Anarchy (Western-style socialism).

Just here, in this case, I'm not supporting the reform agenda neither do I oppose it publicly. I just don't like everything that comes with the package.

For instance, we don't need more deputies (raising the number of seats in the parliament from 550 to 600) and I don't want to see adolescents in the parliament because the age to stand as a candidate in an election will be lowered from 25 to 18.

On the other hand, there are valid points I really support:

• Article 9 - The judiciary is required to act on condition of impartially.

• Article 77 - Parliamentary terms are extended from four to five years.

• Article 142 - Military courts are abolished unless they are erected to investigate actions of soldiers under conditions of war.

Why are you even so angry?

Buddy, i think you have misunderstood my post. You are one of the few friends here that i find highly intellectual and open minded. You may have ignored kuwaitigirl the passage after mine was written for her.

My reminder to you was friendly, because there are types of people here who spite nothing but hatred as you underlined. And i basically agree with the above post you have written

He went from the bottom to the top. I remember back hearing he was too weak against the Kemalist and the public or couldn't do actions to change the country due to fears of being toppled like Adnan Menderes and the others so he learned the lesson.

He reminds me of Senator Palpatine (no one knew his real identity- Darth Sidious) who patiently gained power slowly in the democratic republic through manipulations and false flags and eventually took over, announced the Galactic Empire and called himself an Emperor.
