America is the glue that holds NATO together. Once America is too weak to hold NATO together, European countries immediately go back to fighting each other like they did every day before 1946. not sure about russia but,
china's backing of NK is not a blank check.

NK wanted to developed nukes against everyone's opinions, including china's, wishes.
they also refused to develop economically despite china's advice and offers of help, and the fatty kim the 3rd isnt exactly a puppet.
he purged many members of the government including many pro-chinese members including his uncles.
plus the sanctions, from china's (and russia's) side anyhow, is as porous or as tight as the chinese government wants it to be, not like anyone is going to be able to check what goes over the chinese border, and it isnt 1993 anymore, us ships isn't going to be forcibly stopping chinese merchant vessels to search them.

and us support for ukraine? lol go read up on the aid packages, its like 95% for us interests/businesses and barely pocket change for Ukraine. actual weapons deliveries are all super old stock or monkey models stripped of their most valuable capabilities and that in quantities unable to change anything on the front lines.

Even if there were, Russia either has limited ability to come to their mutual defense or lacks the will to extend the protection. Also, Russia (actually the Soviets) were not all that reliable as demonstrated by their lack of military assistance when China invaded Vietnam, with which Russia had a mutual defense treaty
