What's new

Tunisia gov't says to close 80 mosques for inciting 'violence'!

Interesting. It means if given the real freedom to choose, most Muslims worldwide won't choose 9th century Shariah! :D

That is exactly why the Mullah Brigade insists upon religion being enforced by the State. Otherwise, they know what the people would do - not listen to them.

Zarvi Bhai is a much tolerant person today than he was an year back.

This is the tolerant version? :D

Older version of Islam does agree to it.
Older version? Now that's news to me. I thought there were no updates/releases in Islam like the old testament & the new testament. Could you spare a minute or two and elaborate on that?

Lets leave other religions. As per my understanding, a secular muslim means a muslim who believes all religions(read gods) are equal, preach the same thing and reach the same destiny. Does Islam agree to that? Correct me if I'm wrong.

No. The state stays out of endorsing any one of the dozens brands of Islam. It stays impartial and above the raging schisms that exist within the world of Islam. It is that simple. It remain impartial observer and accts equal to all. It neither prohibits or endorses any brand and leaves religion out of the public realm. People are free to go to mosque, synagogue, temple, mandir etc ...

Don't make your own definitions please. A secular means nothing but a separator of church (religion) with politics.
  1. Secularism is the principle of the separation of government institutions and persons mandated to represent the state from religious institutions and religious dignitaries.

Averroes was the first Muslim philosopher who preached secularism, way before the Western world adopted it:

That's all? One who separates religion from politics is secular? Take HS for example. He didnot flaunt a political party. All he does is "charity" work. Is he secular?
HS? What is it?

This! Well said. And bears repeating. Endlessly.

Now how do we repeal the Objectives Resolution?

People are free to go to mosque, synagogue, temple, mndir etc .
That's what Quad-e-Azam said about Pakistan in 1947. Little did he know what was about to come as Ahmadis were branded non-Muslims and barred from practicing Islam by LAW in 1973 and 1984 respectively. :D :D :D

Now how do we repeal the Objectives Resolution?
By branding those who wrote it non-Muslims :D Its the only way to repeal that nutcase of a law :D

You, sir, are talking about the state. Thats when Islam and state are already one. I'm not talking about that scenario. Take the example of India. Your point does not apply in this case. I was talking about Islam.

Thats when Islam and state are already one.
Islam and State technically cannot be ONE. As there is no longer only ONE version of ISLAM :D
If you implement Shia Islam, Sunnis will complain. If you implement Sunni Islam, Shias will complain. If you implement Ahmadi "Islam", everyone will complain :D

There is a easy solution to that. Learn from the Mullah brigade. Ban the contraception and then watch how fast the imbalance will be corrected.

Smaller will become bigger ......
I know you are being sarcastic but i dont think Turkey needs a population explosion, they are already tapping rivers 200km away to satify Istanbuls water consumption, currently building 600 dams in adittion to hundrets already existing ones.

Our country cant bear more than 100 million people and we are already 80 million.

A picture says a thousand words:
Its nothing to do with oil.

Nothing to do with oil. USA already is energy independent.

Do you think that Saudi Arabia put the money to create the ISIL without USA permission? Maybe you even think that Saudi Arabia created the ISIL against USA will :what:.

If USA is energy indepedent or not, that it doesnt matter.
USA needs that the oil in the world must be sell in USD to assure dollar value.

USA economy without oil selling in dollars would collapse.

Gold-standard of dollar was finished at the same years that USA reached its peak oil.

Nixon Shock - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Petroleum in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Oil to USA economy it means much more that energy independecy for that country or not. It means keep the USD as world currency.

Hmm.. valid point. Just looked up the definition of secularism. I partially agree with you. Partially coz of the second point quoted below.
Secularism is a principle that involves two basic propositions. The first is the strict separation of the state from religious institutions. The second is that people of different religions and beliefs are equal before the law.
HS? What is it?
Hafeez Sayeed.

Okies...will watch when I've got time.
