TTP Karachi chief, three activists remanded till 18th

KARACHI: The alleged chief of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s Karachi chapter, Noor Wali, and three other activists, Niaz alias Riaz, Khair Muhammad and Niaz alias Umer, have been remanded to Special Investigation Unit Quaidabad’s custody until December 18 by Judicial Magistrate Malir Aslam Shaikh. Police had produced the accused before Shaikh on charges of murder, attempted murder and encounter with police. As per the police, who sought physical remand, the accused were involved in a number of heinous offences including kidnapping for ransom, and they were under interrogation for running a kidnapping for ransom network for funding their terrorist activities.

ST activist remanded until Dec 28: An alleged Sunni Tehreek activist was remanded in a case of threatening a citizen to judicial custody until December 28 on Monday by Judicial Magistrate Central XIII Malik Ahsan. The same court fixed bail plea hearing of the accused booked under section 506 (B) and 34 PPC by Bilal Colony police station in New Karachi Town for Tuesday. A large number of party activists were present when Investigating Officer Rana Ashfaq produced the accused before the court. staff report
