Like what? A journalist is always on duty.
The question is, if a journalist declares his credentials...... would he get a visa and allowed to travel to say IOK. ??!!
Once you enter India on a valid visa, there are no restrictions to go to any part of the country.. Unless you are a Pakistani
then the visa should not have been granted, with a notice served, in fact journalist and Human rights groups are not Allowed in the troubled Indian occupied Kashmir. so they sought out other means to report abuses by the occupying military...and I am sure this must be appreciated that he took the risk of his life to report...
When I went to India, I was only allowed to visit four cities, & normally, a Pakistani citizen (or a person of Pakistani origin) has to go to the police station & report to the nearest police station, but I was exempted from that, because of my family connections in India & the fact that I'd been there before. Indian visa regulations are pretty strict.
