Trump’s beggar-thy-neighbour trade strategy is anything but foolish

but neither article used the word “cover up”, only you did

Yes, there was. They hid the 2.5 micrometer data from the public for years. When foreign embassies starting posting the data and people started questioning the obvious discrepancy the Chinese government asked the embassies to stop (they didn’t want the people to know the truth). It was only after private ChInese citizens starting placing air quality testing devices around the city confirming the embassy numbers that the Chinese government finally relented and started posting more realistic numbers.

maybe you are not aware of this but the US embassies are well known for being paranoid, always complaining about things like weird sound, or strange light... maybe such paranoia makes them canary in the coal mine when it comes to air pollution but you cannot really blame the Chinese government for not taking their tweets too seriously at first and treated it like one of their daily whinings.

the government were using PM10 to determine air quality back then and always publish it for as long as I can remember, they didn't think it's necessary to adopt a new method, that does not equal to deliberately hiding information from the public like the word "cover up" suggests. making such assumption only put your ignorance and symptoms of brainwashing on display, I'm afraid.( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Of course they were using PM10! Why would they care about the health of their citizens and volunteer PM2.5 if they knew the results would be alarming? PM2.5 particles are far far far more hazardous than PM10. You’d think they’d be on top of it (if they actually cared) since the Beijing air was OBVIOUSLY heavy with particles. It’s not like they don’t have the technology to do PM2.5 readings! They had the PM2.5 measurements and knew exactly what was going on. They just didn't publicly report it. It was more along the lines of let the citizens think everything is fine by just using the PM10 in the reports. Our sheep will be none the wiser! Why should we knock ourselves out alerting them to any danger? Ignorance is bliss! Lol!

So if the US Embassy was using PM2.5 why was the Chinese government asking foreign embassies to stop sharing data? If the Embassies were publishing 2.5 then why the big fuss? They should have simply clarified to the Chinese people that “They use 2.5 and we use PM10...so that is why their pollution levels are far higher.” Problem solved!

Instead it was indignation, claims of unreliable data, and threats of a shutdown. They just wanted news stations to keep reporting “unusually heavy fog today” and keep the people in the dark! Finally a public outcry forced their hand. Lol!!

Definitely a face losing moment for the Chinese government. Outed by the US Embassy.

When you start acting like an 8yr old by calling me an Indian I know you have admitted complete defeat in your argument.

never did.. and don't want to make that assumption. but if you don't want other people to regard you as indian maybe you should also try not to make way off assumptions on things you have little knowledge of.

also.. displaying the butthurt syndrome by using excessive emojis won't help you either:-)
