Ah the dictionary meaning. Yes yes, one can pull up a thousand meanings for the word locomotive.

But, if you have had seen the superman cartoons, if you had read the superman comics as diligently as one is forced to read school text books, the you would have noticed that locomotive in those cartoons or comics meant the train. Also, how dare you compare the strength of Superman with a puny race car, as against a powerful train engine?
