I met an engineer from PAF a year back and he was at mirage overhauls, he said "Ye Allah kay saharay urr rahay hain, they are way beyond their lifespans both engine and frame wise"...... my heart cries that we are loosing diamonds in steel coffins....

They have served us dutifully. Though I'll be blunt here --- there needs to be ACCOUNTABILITY. It is unacceptable that aircraft left the tarmac; these aircrafts are old, should be phased out immediately.

There should be an audit of all the Mirages. I understand that we can not just drop them, but the least we can do is ground them and have a detailed audit.

Audit is needed of haram khour politicians and babus who are galloping resources like termites eat wood. These Mirages should have been phased out long time ago but scarcity of funds is leaving PAF with no choice but to keep these old birds flying while in the process loosing our finest every now and then. Every officer who loses his life in these flying coffins has his blood on the hands of corrupt politicians and bureaucrats.

Every time a mirage crashes a Pilot dies and with that pilot years of training and experience dies as well. Why cant he just eject the seat.
