Treatment required by Nawaz Sharif not available in Pakistan, reveal sources

KARACHI: Former ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s medical condition is said to be in a complex state that requires advanced units of cardiology capable of catering to his medical needs, revealed sources on Saturday.

According to the sources , the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader is in need of cutaneous and surgical revascularization which would be possible through an advanced unit.

Moreover, it was revealed that Sharif would also be requiring an opinion from an electrophysiology, keeping in mind his earlier atrial fibrillation catheter ablation.

It was further revealed by sources that Sharif’s medical reports are suggesting that he is suffering from moderate coronary artery disease which could result in a cardiac arrest as the inadequate blood supply restricts parts of the heart in receiving sufficient oxygen.

Moreover, he is also said to be suffering from unstable angina which could lead to a severe heart attack given he is not provided immediate medical attention.

According to the sources, the former premier would be better suited to receive medical treatment in the United Kingdom, taking into consideration that Pakistan is lacking the proper advanced unit of cardiology that is presently required by Sharif under his present complex state of health.

1) wait isnt there a NS hospital somewhere in Punjab? How come the STATE OF THE ART hospital as it was described when he opened it....has no treatment for him?
2) Why the 3x heavy (pun intended) champ PM couldnt even bother modernizing our healthcare for complex diseases? If he had thought of something more than the roads maybe he wouldnt be in such a state! I think noon supporters were claiming he did ALOT in medical advancements...where are they when you need them?
3) HALF of his ailments are due to his disgusting diet...brought onto himself by none other than himself! So pay your own treatment even if you need to build a hospital overnight!
4) His treatment is too expensive to be leaching the country dry!

If treatment is not available in Pakistan then the government is under no legal obligation to take him abroad. Let his family pay for specialist equipment and medical staff to come to Pakistan and treat him in the prison hospital.

bibi i cannot see into the future. if trust was an issue with him, he would not be the only 3 time Prime Minister of the country.

He could have atleast made laws about this to save his himself but i guess when you are high you never think of whats it gonna feel like when you are again low.

Anyhow procedure exists. Hopefully political drama can be avoided in this shameful episode for the country.

I would like to ask this b*astard that after ruling on and off for nearly 40 years as Chief Minister of Punjab and then thrice PM of Pakistan why does Pakistan, a country of 200 million not have a hospital that can't cater to his needs? And can rest of Pakistan afford to go to London for treatment like him?
