Top Hyderabad Eatery Accused Of Serving Dog Meat In Place Of Mutton, Claims That It's A Conspiracy By Rivals

Shah Ghouse, a famous food joint preferred by many for its tasty haleem, was raided by the food and veterinary wing officials of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

The officials collected samples from the hotel after expressing doubts that ‘unsafe meat’ had been used. The meat samples have been sent for lab tests.

The raids were conducted after doubts raised by some netizens that the hotel was using dog meat in its mutton dishes. GHMC west zone veterinary director served notices on the restaurant, saying that the hotel is using meat procured from private sources, in violation of the rule that hotels should buy meat only from the GHMC slaughter house. However, hotel proprietor Irfan said the allegation is a conspiracy by rivals to defame the hotel.
