Of course -- officially -- we have to disavowed the pilot's comments. But do you really think that only middle ranking pilots were in that room ?
Outside of a group, whether it be plumbers or bricklayers or or doctors or fighter pilots, people's sensitivities are more important than the technical realities members of that group have to deal with every day. When I was active duty, it was a much more politically incorrect time and we were blunt to each other, so even today you better be thick skinned to deal with Americans when we are involved. After all, better scars on your ego THAN YOUR BODY in the dirt, and am not talking about a burial plot.
