I have been to numerous discussion forums on the internet and have observed that the world underestimates the military prowess of Muslim countries.

Some people might be surprised to see that there are actually 4 Muslim countries in the list of 20 top military powers on the planet. I'm pretty sure the israeli ******s would be worried to know that 3 Muslim countries have stronger armies than theirs.

Those rankings concern themselves with numbers.

For instance, that doesn't properly differentiate between
a nation with local power and one that can project its armed
forces to the other side of the world.

As for aircraft carriers, some analysts include all ships with
a flight wing even if only made of helicopters. I agree with
most of you that it makes little sense.
A Juan Carlos type can't compare to a Charles-de-Gaulle nor
a Vikrisomething / Kuztnetsov / Liaoning for that matter nor
these with the CDG and a fortiori to a US Nimitz class.
