Can u use it anywhere?

I have tried several hundred restaurants...
I even ordered hot pot one day.
And they did deliver a real hot pot!
Now I don't order very often for my meals, but I still use them a lot for BBQ at night, dessert after dinners, and sometimes we just cook only a couple of dishes, so will order another 1-2 big dishes.
u r rich! i never try the expensive ones, mostly follow small restaurants with discounts it's cheaper than school canteen.

they'll collect the pot later or what? the deliver fee must be high though.

They'll collect the pot and clean my place later that day or u can call them the next day.
Delivery is free!!!

And I chose the cheap food most of the time!

Anywhere that takes NFC credit cards can work with Apple Pay.

Retails have to sign up for the Apple Pay service.
Why does it have to link to any credit card?
Here, an eatery selling pancake on the street accepts alipay or wechat.

This is a very positive trend in China because it shows domestic companies are dominating and competitive.
I tried various apps when I traveled in the west.
I have to say, they suck.
For example, Alipay is a third-party payment App.
But it offers way more functions than convenient payment.
I have thousands of yuan in Alipay's demand deposit(2-3%) and fixed deposit(4-5%).
(current one-year deposit rate in China is 1.5%)
I can also lend money and pay by instalment without a credit card.
There is an imbedded credit rating, with which I can rent apartment and hire car without any deposit.
Book tickets of transport/national parks, buy funds, trace location of parcel delivery, pay traffic ticket/cable/broadband/gas, transfer money, etc.etc.etc. One can do anything! I even once invested in a movie and get 15% more money.

You don't need to pre-deposit money into an account. You just link it to your current bank credit card or bank debit card. So you could put your Bank of China card in and fly to the UK, Spain, USA, Canada, Australia, or even Singapore and beep it at any store that has signed up for it.

99.99% of eateries here support credit/debit cards. Most people don't use cash at retailers/eateries We've been cashless for a long time.

Linking to a credit card is a basic function of alipay dude, nothing u have to brag about.
But u need to do more than merely a substitute of credit card!

Oh you were talking about fixed deposits and rates of return at Alipay so I thought you had to preload it.

My alipay account is linked to several credit cards and several deposit cards.
I use deposit card to transfer money to Alipay to enjoy the high deposit rate(non-fixed 2-3%, fixed 5%) when Chinese banks only offer 1.5%!
When I use alipay to pay, I can choose credit card, deposit card, alipay's demand deposit or borrow money from alipay.

Ah..so that in itself has nothing to do with how Alipay works. It is just an additional benefit.

You made it sound like Apple Pay is the way of life the States, but no, not store in my regular shopping run accept Apple pay. I thought I was out, then I read this:

Why Is Almost No One Using Apple Pay?

Where do you live?

As an example here's just the supermarket chains near me that accept Apple Pay
Wegmans
Shaws
Star Market
Bj's Wholesale
Whole Foods
soon to be MarketBasket

I have 5 chains within a few miles of me and you have NONE near you???
