Tokyo Olympic 2021: Discussion and Update

If we give good incentive to our athlete, I believe we will be able to compete better in Olympic.
I believe there should be an incentive given for an athlete for every stage that he reaches in the Olympics. Just for qualifying too they should be given a big prize money. And then an additional bonus for going to the next stage, the next stage and so on. This will keep them motivated for even going to the next round. There are many players who come into the Olympics but aren't contenders for any medal but these incentives will ensure that they give their extreme best regardless of the result.
Look like it is very upsetting for Indian fans to not have Sindhu compete in Tokyo Olympic, even Myanmar women single can compete in Olympic despite she was lost from Indonesian single, Gregoria
I think you misunderstood me. I was referring to Saina and not Sindhu in my previous post. Sindhu is already a contender for a medal. She unfortunately lost her semis game today but will be playing a game for the bronze medal.

16 gold medals and 17 silvers for the US. The US has slightly underperformed, but still a lot of gold medal opportunities left for the US. It just has to execute better.

Does China bring sprinter at this Olympic ? I heard China has sprinter whose record is below 10 second ?
His first round finished, so easy.

It has underperformed for sure, but even so, it's tied with China for the most medals total even though China has a staggering amount of gold medals so far, there's still a ways to go.

It’s partly due to swimming, Biles absence in the team all around, and a couple other sports underperforming. Swimming is understandable due to Phelps absence and 60% are Olympic rookies.

To be fair, Rio was an incredible performance from the US. It’s not reasonable to expect that type of performance every Olympics.

Almost all major MSM are deafening silence that Japan conduct triathlon in the sewage sea and many athlete either dropped out or vomitted

China swept all 4 gold medals of the weightlifting events so far, but sadly it is also the end of the sweep cause the rule allows one country to send a maximum of 4 athletes in the competition, so China's chance of winning more golds was dashed. while Judo doesn't seem to have a number limit for athletes representing individual countries and judo hands out incredibly as many as 15 gold medals, so far Japan got 10 of them, accounting for over half of its total gold medals.

A ridiculous rule that doesn't exist in other sports with the only purpose of preventing China from sweeping the competitions.

Japan got so much medal because of Judo. And Japan created lot of weight category for Judo and skate board. Japan is really thick skin ad nauseam.

USA should get more medals once track and field gets going .

This seems unfair,US also wins a load from swimming ,why doesn't Chinese Olympic committee do something about it?

Chinese Olympic committee doesn't have the same weight. One can tell how powerful each nation's Olympic committee is by the number of "medical conditions" that are granted to their athletes.
