Interesting. My point remains that he is divisive as a personality. In my opinion, whoever comes to power in Delhi doesn't matter because all ministers and their cronies are too busy filling their own coffers. Also the SIT report contradicts many fist person accounts. The truth might be somewhere in between. He is neither the saint his followers think he is, nor is he Satan incarnate as leftists tend to paint him. There might have been some prejudice in his actions. I really doubt if he knew about the magnitude of what was going to happen and how it would affect him for the rest of his life, he would have let it happen. That is my take.

As always, an Indian cannot stick to the topic without bringing Pakistan into the debate.
It's that eternal obsession. Oh the obsession...
It was very much on topic.
People need to move on. Discussing this decade old thing to death doesn't help anyone. The courts are dishing out punishments as we speak.
We can't satisfy conspiracy theorists and haters. Nor do we see the need to.

Former Gujarat minister convicted for her role in 2002 anti-Muslim pogrom - World Socialist Web Site
The court, which sentenced her to a total of 28 years in prison, described her as “[the] kingpin of entire riots in the Naroda-Patiya area.” “She led the mob and incited them to violence.” This included pointing out targets for attack—Muslim religious places and chawls (tenements) where Muslims resided

Clearly, some of you are not ready to "move on".
He is simply addressing the Pakistani posts on the topic. After all many a poster from your side engages in threads on the Gujarat riot with much gusto. Nothing to do with obsession, one could equally argue that the need for any Pakistani to post on such matters or mention the Gujarat riots, which many do ad nauseum and ad infinitum points to a macabre obsession with the sad incident.
The sword cuts both ways, Pakistani posters reply to Indian posters with the Gujarat specter whenever the topic of religious or ethnic violence in Pakistan is raised- one would have thought that a reply on the same lines would sit well with the sensibilities of those who engage in similar practices.
lol predicted that FYI Maya Kodnani was not part of Gujarat Government during the time of riots
That's why I asked the Indians to move on.
Balderdash!

The topic of this thread is the Gujarat pogrom of 2002.
28 years for Kodnani, Bajrangi to spend entire life in prison - The Hindu
At the time of the 2002 riots, she was a sitting MLA.
Apparently, they are not too keen to take your advice. This is not the first such thread just this week.
Face Palm ..Same Modi Government is seeking Death Penalty for that Minister ..Former Gujarat minister convicted for her role in 2002 anti-Muslim pogrom - World Socialist Web Site

Indeed so why the acrimony when an Indian posts something in reply to a previous post by a Pakistani on the said forum. The post you were replying to simply asserted that your post on this thread was biased and not accurate due to your nationality. If that provokes you then I am sure you can reply to the poster is specific without terming it to be an obsession with Pakistan. He simply finds most of the opinions professed by Pakistanis on this topic to be prejudiced and absent substance- that is his prerogative.
For a senior member you seem to be quicker on the trigger than even novices like me.

How is that a facepalm?
Does that negate my claim that sitting officers of the Modi government were involved in orchestrating the pogrom?
