Time machine travel series II: a 5th tier county-level city in China's poorest province vs the national capital of india

American suburb style city planning is not very suitable to China considering the availability of land and size of the population. In addition, you have to drive long distances to work or even to get the grocery, while in China everything is readily available and public transportation is very convenient as well. There are drawbacks and advantage as well for each type of city planning, and you have to make the sacrifice for some gain.

Bro, I can see some 'white American' is coming to show his suburb house if we continue this topic :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:
I think that would be @gambit if I am not wrong.

You are comparing apple to orange.

Yes, US have lower population density than China.
But that have disadvantages too.

When you are american living in suburbs and have office in downtown, it will be a nightmare.

US suburbs much less developed than Chinese suburbs.
So you need to depends on your own car, and wasting hours of time everyday in slow but serious traffic jam  What a suck life.

Meanwhile in China, if you live in subrubs and have office in downtown. You can take subway or other public transportation easily, and 30 minutes later you already in your bathub, relaxing in warm water.

US suburbs are more like Chinese small town, if you want to compare.
Just look at this, you can see small towns across China

The problems you speak of only pertain to a couple high density metros like NYC, LA and SF. Most of the rest of America is lower density and people comfortably drive their own cars to their work places.

India’s GDP is not as much as China’s foreign exchange reserves. In 2019, Vietnam’s national GDP ranked seventh among Chinese cities. In 2019, the GDP of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest economic city, ranked 53rd among Chinese cities. These two superpowers are great, and China is only the third world in the world. :enjoy:

Yes, Bro, honestly, Vietnam is far better than india in terms of cleanness and orderliness, for sure, but this is not a compliment, though :cheesy: ...

Just relax, buddy... There is no country on earth that is cleaner than Japan, not America, not Europe, there is still a long way to go for China, especially in the countryside, but again, we are catching up fast:
And this kind of threads are made for some india big claims, and you know what I am talking about :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: ...
Singapore can fight Japan if you minus the foreign workers quarters.

I think, instead of relying on nationalist populist rhetoric to enrich the few at the cost of many, !ndia needs to razor-focused on development.

I feel !ndo Pacific is more of a trap for !ndia, rather than an opportunity. It already cost relations with Russia, bad energy in the SCO, RCEP and BRI.

I think Vietnam will be next China in East Asia.
