What is there to deconstruct? There is an entire movement behind Pakistan, even the name had a meaning and was a specifically designed part of the campaign for the nation. You talk about wanting identity but then shit over what little identity you already have by suggesting you want a new name. The term Stan is very relevant to our culture and our heritage. It has it's roots in Farsi, it's a term used to describe a homeland, it's also aligned with our ethnic roots as central Asians. The linguistic alternative is desh, a term the Bengali's use, a term which finds it's origins in India and in sanskrit or whatever. We aren't them, we're genetically different, we're ideologically different, we use a different script for our text!
Alternatively we could take something from greek, or latin - maybe call it Narnia or Hogworts? Something trendy with better potential for hash tags? Maybe we can give it a spanish origin name? Why are you people so hooked up on Indus? The IVC was only a part of our history, it's not the start and it's not the end. If the borders have been drawn differently and we'd had all the land we originally asked for, would the indus obsession still persist?
Identity is what you make of it. People spilt blood sweat and tears for Pakistan. They rallied behind the term Pakistan, they fought for Pakistan, respect the heritage, respect the sacrifice and respect the name - for f--ks sake!
