I like to think they're equal. Lions got more stamina and thirst for a fight since they're used to living in groups but tigers are actually not just larger but more muscular too. Gorgeous creatures, in any case.

Lions are King of the Jungle not because they could fight. There have been numerous cases were lion was killed by elephants, Jirraffs, wild buffaloes. They are called King because they behave like a King.
Like, they live in pride. The leader has the major share in the Kill and he usually sleeps for like most of the day. Unlike tigers, they don't mark their territory, their territory is where they hunt now. Rather it's like the entire land. And neither a lion gets aggressive if it's not hungry. Try that with a Tiger, you land in his territory, you are done.

Although, I would agree a Tiger can beat a lion, but Tigers mostly avoid any encounters, unless they have no other way. So, the Tigers appear to be more cowardly. While lion is not afraid of anything.

Anyway, Kings don't fight mostly they do is to plan and let the soldiers do the job.

The real fight will be when a Tiger challenge a pride. Then we'll see who wins.

tigers are more agile , they have a proven track record of being more smart & better at hunting than lions..a lion vs tiger is like salman khan vs bruce lee , salman khan might look strong with all the muscle around but in fight it is more tactics and agility that decides the winner. Put both lion & tiger in water vs crocodile ..both will die a horrible death! bcz in water crocs are the best hunters

How would that be a fair fight when we're talking about the better carnivore in a one-on-one match up. While hunting, lions hunt in pack and that is their strength while tiger is a lone hunter. Even though they never encounter each other in the wild, the tiger has the agility and can jab with both paws by standing firmly on it's hind legs while the lion needs to have one paw on the ground or sit on it's a** to with both paws which puts the lion and a severe disadvantage.

Most uncut neutral videos you see on YT show the lion taking a severe pounding from the tiger but you can also see lion fans making edited videos to showcase the lion as a better fighter

Anyway, this whole stuff sounds childish to me.

Man, Lion is the King, no matter how much spin is given to Tiger. A tiger may be stronger, fierce but it simply lack the characteristics of a King.

Lion is the king , who said so? apparently the westerners (disregarding the mighty amur tigers) who now have no lions or tigers for that matter of fact.
Lets not go by what disney cartoons make us believe.


Tigers are hunt alone and hence are stronger. Lions hunt in packs just like wild dogs or hyenas do. One to one tigers would win hands down. Most of the time we evaluate things just by sight or perception hence the lion ends up getting the attention. If we evaluate on facts lions would just be another carnivore on the list.
