Three-member French Police Delegation Visits CPO

A three-member French Police delegation visited Central Police Office (CPO) here on Wednesday.



LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Oct, 2018 ) :A three-member French Police delegation visited Central Police Office (CPO) here on Wednesday.

They discussed mutual cooperation in security and professional training with the Punjab Police in the meeting.

The delegation met Additional IG Operations Punjab Azhar Hameed Khokhar and other officers while the meeting was presided over by the Additional IG Operations Punjab, Azhar Hameed Khokhar.

Police Attach Emmanuel Tombolato, Deputy Police Attach Mr Jean Christophe Hilaire and Immigration Liaison Officer Mr Laurent Aubertin were in the French delegation while Additional IG Operations Punjab, CCPO Lahore BA Nasir, DIG Training Mirza Faraan Baig and Deputy Commandant Police Training College Chung Ata Muhammad were also present.

Enhanced security and professional cooperation besides other initiatives was discussed while French experts offered the Punjab Police short training refresher courses based on modern techniques about forensic science, crime investigation and ID verification to improve capacity building and efficiency.



In the meeting, formation of a Training Network System equipped with modern standards between two forces was also discussed while prospects of mutual exchange of under training officials and officers, online lectures by experts, video tele- conferences and an MoU between training institutions of both countries was also analysed.

Additional IG Operations Punjab nominated DIG Training Punjab Mirza Faraan Baig as a focal person for coordination with the French delegation.He said that experience of French police would be helpful in improving the professional skills of the Punjab Police while mutual cooperation between two Police departments would continue in future.

You might be interested in knowing this, in the early 80's there were French personal in Pakistan giving training regarding mines to afghans due to the high casualties mines were causing civilians. way before anyone else showed interest in that conflict Britain and France were on the afghan border.
