Three people have been killed and nine injured after a mass shooting which reportedly took place at a Halloween party in Long Beach, California.

Police and paramedics went to the scene at about 10.40pm local time on Tuesday (5.40am UK time on Wednesday) after receiving reports of shots being fired.

Long Beach fire department spokesman Jake Heflin was quoted by US media as saying the suspect or suspects were still at large.

He said: "It looks like it was a party, some type of a Halloween-type costume party and that seems to be where the shooting occurred."

He said the victims all appeared to be in their 20s.

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Police are investigating another shooting in Durham, meaningeight people have now been shot in the city in a span of 24 hours.

Two people have died as a result of the shootings.

As a strong opinion holder on less gun laws, I think if American's carry less guns than many of such incidents can be stopped or avoided, American carry tons of guns including Automatic rifles , machine guns , that too even military grade gears , and all it takes one guy with bad intentions or crazy dude to have mass shootings.
