Not saying the June 4 Tiananmen Square incident should ever be forget but it's some 20 years now, the same CCP government has change a lot since then, no point keep compare a regime then and the regime now.

As for people asking here what is the different between Kent States and Tiananmen Square?

For starter, we all know Kent States, it's studied in the History book all over the world, US admit the incident even have a senate hearing on it. However, Chinese government officially still deny the incident ever happened, even thought we all know what had been going on those 2 nights and 1 day.

Bullock! Our Government never denies the incident never happened. We just tone down the whole thing a lot. Unlike Kent State, the us can talk about it and it is not a case to compare with Tiananmen Sq. because as I said on another thread, the story is not complete without knowing who was all behind the tragedy. Kent State was an event of a much smaller scale and a lot more straight forward.

this is like saying india needs to be free from yindoos...
There are no 'Yindoos' in India, only Hindus. Just like there are no 'Chinkks' in China, only Chinese.... But I ain't too sure of the latter!! :P

Human rights violations galore, coupled with zero democracy and tolerance is what China is all about! As they say, one needs to take permission of the Communist Party even if one wants to fart!! :fie:

RIP to all those who have suffered the loss of lives and condolences to those who are still suffering

Tiananmen Sq was a sad event
It looks like the whole world mourns about it until even today sincerely or politically, even the indians seem to be cheerleading about it as usual

No one care to mention Operation Blue Star and the riots that came with it
No one care to mention Gujarat riots and the long list of assassinations, riots massacres in india's bloody history
even in the 21ar century, millions of dalits, kids, women are living in constant fear for not having enough food, getting tortured or raped.
india democracy and human rights working at their best

Tianmen square massacre, more like '89 Democracy movement that later followed by april 4th incident was one of the unprecedented incident in the last century.China(CCP) never faced this kind of unprecedented threat from the inside of the country.there is many documentary is available on net,but one of the most stunning incident is the "Tankman" incident, one man, standing alone, defiant, making stand infront of killer tanks, denying them the passage..which is the last footage available.

Tankman is named as one of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century,a face of democracy movement.

nobody knew how many people died.Chinese Red cross said over 2600 has died, while Chinese govt said that over 241 killed while 7000 injured.while other estimates showed over 6000 civilians as well as dozens of soldiers died.

I have no hate towards China, but hope democracy will return in their country,so that those who gave their life for democracy doesn't go waste.

you should learn the way chinese use the term "yindoo" because it is not a religious term by any means in chinese: the term is meant to capture the smelliness of your type and your race, not your faith. and since chinese named your type long before the anglosaxons did, i think it is fair that the chinese usage of "yindoo" be privileged over some dirty anglosaxon term used to describe their slaves.
