If I was an Indian Muslim living in India, I would not eat cow meat only to show respect to my Hindu neighbour. In Islam, it is not a religious obligation to slaughter cows and eat them, I can live without it, I am sure others can as well.

People should learn to be tolerant, especially the ones who are killing and lynching over suspected slaughter of cows. You are no different from religious extremists of other faiths who carry out similar acts.

There are always a few who fancies drugs, rape, incest, murder, corruption, adultration, theft, etc. etc..

Not all social values are defined under 'laws'. Some are tradition, some are habits and some are cultural in nature. However 'beef' is banned by Law.

So like rest of the criminals who 'fancies' their choice of lifestyle, I have no qualms about throwing all of them under the bus.

There is no such thing as 'negative karma'.

Karma means doing your 'duty' to the larger society (Dharma).

So not doing your duty is a 'sin'. Same as not paying your taxes is 'illegal' or stealing is 'illegal'.

The choice is fairly simple.

You either serve society or you don't (Anti social, which is what a criminal is).

You are under some mistaken belief that in Hinduism the life of the cow is valued less than that of a Human being.

That is a Christian concept. (also islamic).

In christianity ONLY humans have 'soul', so the rest of the world and its animals (who do not have souls) is 'put' there or exist only for human pleasure.

In hinduism everything has 'atma' and is part of the larger 'Param-atma'.

So if you want to be a christian, be one. But do not push christian values onto Hinduism and call it hindu values.
