Relentless rescue efforts by the Navy in Kerala, where over 400 people have died and more than 10 lakhs have been relocated to relief camps, is being commended by the entire country, with pictures and videos of their bravado flooding social media sites. One such thank you note, painted on the rooftop of a house in the state, was shared by the navy.

The note was painted on a house from where two women were rescued by Navy officials on August 17. Moved by the act, the Indian Navy shared the picture on its Twitter handle which read “Naval ALH piloted by Cadre Vijay Varma rescued two women. Bravo...”.

Continuous rescue efforts by the Indian Navy and Army in Kerala has garnered praise from millions, including the Prime Minister.

Earlier today, the first commercial flight landed at INS Garuda, the Indian Navy air station in Kochi, after operations at the Cochin international airport was closed for days due to floods in Kerala as the focus shifted to rescue and rehabilitation amid a forecast of less rainfall.

The number of deaths triggered by incessant rain in the state for the past 10 days has risen to 239 after thirteen more deaths were reported on Sunday. More than 700,000 people were taken to relief camps, according to figures released by the state government.

Contributions have poured in from the country for rescue and relief operations in the state which continues to battle flood fury.

Bravo to the forces and even the fisherman's who saved thousands of life.

I'm sure the response from center would've been different if the state happened to be Gujarat or UP

There is a limitation that a Central Govt can do, while get involved in states where oppositions are ruling. Because its normal that if bad happens blame Center Govt, it everything done well then all credits to State Govt.

Central Govt has to take care entire country instead of concentrating on one state. It was mistake by Kerala Govt who had never thought that disaster will evolve into this severe. If they had taken precautions when water inflow to dams of Mullaperiyar & Iddukki was increased rapidly, they could have avoided this type of catastrophe and funny part is Left had to plead for help from the same Army which they had abused a year earlier, that's what we call Karma.

3 of the links that you posted are from WB. I'm sure you are well aware Mamata is a minority pacifier and she's solely responsible for what Hindus are facing in WB. She sucks up to muslims and is responsible for the rapid growth of muslim population in WB. I wouldn't really care about what crap she spits out in the news cuz that's all minority appeasement propaganda

I was just giving recent examples that any interference of army will be considered as destabilization of local govt take it TN or Delhi everywhere it is same.

It is very much clear that laziness of state government is the prime reason for the tragedy if they were alert then atleast damage could have controlled with elaborate precaution measures.
