Some people simply have no clue and act like complete morons.
So people boarded one of our A320 on an inland flight. Once bparding was complete the crew noticed an anomaly with the front gear. They did roll back at the gate and the aircraft was deboarded. People waited in the terminal. One colleague and i were send to look for the gear. We checked oil pressure and several other sensors. Made sure evrything was working and after roughly 40 minutes people were then boarded again. Now with the aircraft under full load the crew noticed some unusual readings again. They called us two back and we checked the front gear now under total gear load. Which took maybe 30 minutes.
While my colleague made some adjustments on the gear itself i went up into the gangway and boarded the plane myself to check the instrument readings. When i went in some passengers already reacted agressive towards me and shouted at me to hurry up. The captain asked me if we want try a 2nd repair. I told him that i would prefer to change the gear. I also made clear that it is up to him, since safety isn´t compromised but it could bring greater damage when landing. He decided to follow my decission and deboarded the aircraft again...
It took 4h until the necessary parts arrived with another flight and i fully understand that this is not very cool but the reaction from some people are just idiotic. When i went out of the cockpit some booed at me.
I mean an aircraft is a complex machine. I always follow a "better safe than sorry" approach.
I dont know whats going on. Ny older colleagues say people get more and more entiteled and agressive. They put the crew under pressure and i honestly didnt like that situation. When you work on something and feel under pressure you do mistakes.
Enough of my rant...but this freaked me out yesterday.
